Description:
BMW 7 series reviews and road test drives. The 7 series has it all, power, performance and some of the best cabin technology available on the market today, which makes it a real trans continental class leader. Everything seems to be controlled by the iDrive system located in the central arm rest. Those of you who are not familiar with it, you just twist and selected to choose from literally hundreds of functions including sat nav, your telephone, climate and cruise control, radios and stereo. Gear changes are operated from the actual steering wheel, whilst finding a comfortable driving position is quite tricky. Standard equipment, as you would expect in a BMW is quite lavish. Things like a six CD interchanger and climate control are standard. Headlights and wipers come with automatic sensoring, so no need to flick the switch to turn on the wipers when it starts raining or switch the lights on when its starting to get dark. All models also come with BMW alloys, parking sensors, and power front seats. Upgrade to SE and you get 18 inch alloy wheels, a built in phone and SatNav. Long wheel base models are also equipped with self leveling suspension. It is a big car, and we are flummoxed as to why people would want an even bigger one. There is masses of boot space, albeit a funny shape. BMW reckon you can fit 4 sets of golf clubs in the back. You will find five different engines, a 4.0 and a 4.8 litre petrol, both V8's. There is also a wicked 6.0 litre V12 (ooow baby!), and a 3.0 litre petrol andf diesel. All with the usual BMW reliability. Brand new and on the road price: £57,080 - £68,795.
