Top Gear review of the Aston martin DBS. After Jeremy Clarkson gives it the once over, the Stig takes it for a razz around the TopGear track. What is so special about the DBS from Aston martin. Is it the thoroughbred that the manufacturer claims? A six litre engine, with a boot that you can actually use and the engine is in the front. So its not laid out like an Italian supercar. Jeremy Clarkson likes the steering, the brakes and also the tweaked differential. The tyres, specially made by Pirelli are also good. And check out the roar from the six litre motor! An old school machine, maybe, but not a thoroughbred. Granted, its a very good looking car, mostly like the DB9, just not as good looking. Its slightly lighter. Is it a replacement for the Vanquish. The v12 actually gives 10 horse power less. It tops out at 191 mph, compare to the 200mph from the Vanquish. Regardless of what Clarkson says on this road test and review, we like it, and secretly, so does the host. Except for the price tag, its 50k more expensive than the DB9. Still, enjoy the Stig and his fastest lap.
